Update
So I booked a (fully refundable) hotel room for Austin the other day because I figured it's better to have plans in place and not go than to wait 'til the last minute to get things together and be unable to go.
Started a blog but I only have one post so far (planning to put up 2 tomorrow), still somehow it got linked to on The Generationals' blog. Maybe Wes and I made a good impression on them the other week. It's http://entropicparadise.wordpress.com if you're interested. It'll probably suck, but it's something to keep me busy.
I'm listening to bands in preparation for SXSW. Lots of good stuff out there! I'm kind of excited. Unfortunately, I keep finding bands I JUST MISSED or will miss in Chicago. Ugh.
If you know ANYONE who wants to share a ride to Austin or share a hotel room there, let me know. I've got a place booked near a bus stop and a 15-minute drive from downtown. It's probably only one bed, but it's supposed to have a fair bit of floor space and I've got two air mattresses (and I'm willing to take the floor). The room's $60/night and I'm willing to split as many ways as humanly possible. I mean, it's a festival. It's not like we'll be using the room for more than sleeping.
