STEP ONE
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO
- Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

#1 My family being together and health for my sister. I know nobody can really grant that one but it's my #1 wish this year.

#2 Candle making supplies soy blend wax (both mold type and container type), wicks, pint sized jelly jars (used is fine if they can be cleaned well), fragrance oils of various scents, molds (metal), wick pins, etc. I'm getting into making candles and want to be able to sell them. I don't have enough supplies to really get there and can't really afford to buy more supplies. Let it Shine is a great place for all this stuff and saves a bit in shipping at the same time.

#3 Hellgate It's a fairly new computer game that's very like Diablo 2, which I love.

#4 Candles and holders I know I'm making some, but I still love scented little votive and tea light candles when I'm relaxing at bed time. I don't want to make small candles right away, so buying them is the only way to go.

#5 A new gaming keyboard and cordless mouse. My keyboard went bad a couple months ago and I've been stuck with a second hand one dad had stored. It's not bad, but it's not good either! My cordless mouse "disappeared" after being loaned to a friend a year or so ago and I miss it.

#6 The "Acorna" series of books by Anne Mccaffrey. One of my favorite series and I haven't been able to read them all, and the ones I've read have come from the library. Awesome books!

#7 A car!!!! Jason's planning on doing this one, but I had to include it since I'm running out of wishes already :P

#8 Dragon Riders of Pern series by Anne Mccaffrey Another favorite series that I've never been able to completely read and don't own any of :(

#9 A good cell phone! It's gotta be a Verizon one or it costs a fortune to have it activated with my number in my plan. Mine died and I had my mother's old one activated and though it works, I hate it. The camera's crappy, the menu is hard to get around in, there's NO backgrounds on it unless I take a crappy picture with it and use that, it's too quiet when it rings even though the volume is all the way up, there's no clock on the front screen ... well you get the message. Any decent camera phone that doesn't have the above problems would make me happy, but the one I REALLY want is the new Motorola.

#10 Paid LJ time and userpics Who wouldn't want it? :P
