A Brief Respite from My Past Exploits
Or, depending on your point of view, a more "normal" post. Rest assured, e-friends, I'll return to the chronicles of my life (one computer at a time), but I guess Rochester just hasn't broken me as hard lately. Or, perhaps it has, robbing me even of the little energy required to blog/post/talk about myself. Well, regardless, this time I just bring something up casually and discuss it briefly, like a good little blog should.
I have recently taken quite a shine to Feist. Those of you who know me personally may or may not be surprised to learn that I go through my music-appreciation in stages: this spring I was all about rediscovering Regina and Final Fantasy, then with the summer my tastes gradually went through Jens Lekman to the Postal Service, and have now landed me back to Feist. (Alas, my propensity for repeating my current favorite artist's songs over and over is not shared by my fee-aun-say.) Thanks to a recent post by
thedan (who was the first to link to a very cute video of Feist on sesame street) I've listened to little else lately, tho there are some nifty remixes out there which keep things interesting.
And, as if they needed my recommendation, much of this progression is thanks to Pandora, which if you somehow haven't tried it I highly suggest you do.
So yeah, that's all, just wanted to share some of my recent musical tastes and spread the love.
