Ok so I have not posted in a while, sorry about that. Things have gotten busy around here. I have 2 weeks left on my classes before I start my next two classes. Mike is on week 5 of his first set of classes. We are both maintaining A's in our classes so things are going fairly smoothly there.
A few weeks ago we went to the Bar and Grill for his co-worker's bday party, it was actually a lot of fun. I made friends with a few, they sang karaoke, NOT ME nooo way, I do not like that much attention focused on me lol.
We had a bbq with some of his co-workers, and Athena got a babysitting job which is awesome. Mikes Supervisor is a single mom so we decided that Athena can baby sit for her anytime she needs. We had Maddy over this weekend and her poor mom just went home and fell asleep lol. That usually happens to us on our kid free nights too.
Next Sunday is our 1 year anniversary!!!! I can't believe it has been a year. Mike's supervisor is keeping Athena the night of the 6th so we can go out, or stay in and be as loud as we want!
The 12th is Mike's xmas party, I am nervous and not sure what to wear etc etc etc, but I am going shopping with his supervisor and another girl, so I don't look all retarded. The plan is to rent a room at the hotel where the party is so we can BOTH get drunk! I intend on having a great time.
It is nice to finally have some decent IRL friends. I have a few, but never get to see them, or they get on my nerves too fast with their pushiness and I'm better than everyone else attidude. I want some friends to accept me for who I am and accept the fact that I am friends with other people that they may or may not like. Its nice really, to be able to socialize freely without worrying about everything.
Nothing much else going on, we had a great turkey day, Made ham, sour cream mashed taters, cheesey carrots, stuffing and of course Mike baked 5 pies, we gave away 2 thank gods!
I got Mike a Rotissarie grill thingy for our anniversary, so I can start having greek food YAY ME!
Athena got one of her xmas presents early, a 20 inch tv for her room since her old one was going out. Now we just have to get her a few small things and be done. She is doing pretty well, but getting an F in language arts. We are making her sign a contract with her teacher in hopes that she will start working harder.
Robert wants an electric guitar, I found one with an amp for 100.00 but we will see. He is still struggling with things, and not really letting the treatment work for him, I do not know what to do for him, I am just trying to be supportive, and let the professionals do thier jobs. One could hope that after a year of treatment he would be doing better, but it seems that he is just stuck in the same rut as always.
I am still dealing with the bs from my meds, they say they never rec'd my application yet again. I have been fighting them since June and seems to be no end in sight. I am hoping that I do not have to make Mike go in and have a discussion with them. That will not be pretty for sure!
Other than that everything is going well, we will probably have Athena for xmas again this year, so she will drag out the tree and whatnot. I have to find somewhere to but my exercise bike for a few weeks but thats not a huge deal.
I need to get back to work, so I will try to post more updates soonish.
