Yesterday was a pretty cool day so i think i'll update about it. Renee and i dropped our evil Medieval Archaeology class. Now i'm down to 12 credits and no longer have 300 pages to read a night (for that one class). I also went to a belly dancing class at the gym with Heather. In my entire time here that's second time i've stepped inside a gym. The first was at the beginning of last year when i played wallyball with 928. Last night was awesome. The original plan was to go see The Producers but they weren't showing it past 4. Then we were gonna go to the gymnastics meet but there was traffic everywhere and we couldn't even get close to the O'Connel center. Here's what ended up actually happening. A bunch of us Boo-ya and FLU people played Apples to Apples for awhile, which i found to be a fun game despite the fact that i was the only one to not get a single green card. Then we decided we were tired of that and went to explore an abandoned house. There were about 12 of us and about half were really freaked out. I'm proud to say that i was not scared in the least bit. On the contrary i found the experience to be fun :) Then most of us weren't ready to go home so we went out to Paynes Prairie. It was freezing cold so we all ended up in a dog pile covered with blankets talking under the stars. The stars were so beautiful cuz you could see them so clearly. I was having trouble recognizing constellations cuz there were so many more than i'm used to seeing. I also saw my first shooting star. That was pretty cool. Then we decided we were too cold and we were getting tired so we decided to go home. Well until we came to Steak and Shake, then we decided to stop and eat because many of us were hungry. Then we did go home. Yes a very good night all around.
All right, other stuff that's been happening. God is pretty awesome. I was getting very stressed out earlier in the week which came to a peak when i had an interview with Dr. Turner who told me i was gonna have to take a lot more ancient greek plus latin if i wanted grad schools to take me seriously for classical archaeology. I suck at languages by the way. So anyway the next day i decided to give all the stuff that was stressing me out over to God and he was faithful. The same day my other professor e-mailed me back saying he'd recommend me for study abroad. Then more things started falling into place with the apartment for next year (looks like there's a good chance i'll be at The Landings with 3 awesome gals!). I now have the opportunity to take Modern Greek while in Greece so if all goes as planned i'll be there about 6 weeks. And if Renee knows what's good for her she'll be joining me across the pond ;) On top of all that God just gave me a peace about both my present and future. Matthew 6:25-34, good stuff.
Wow this ended up being a pretty insanely long entry. Oh well there was a lot to tell. I'll make up for it by not having a real entry in awhile, maybe :P
