UK 01~ I can't even think of a title.

It's been a while since I actually checked the network, all manner of things have been keeping me busy and not only do I find the newest tutor on site is that spandex-clad-glitter-loving GIT but that apparently Iceland has won the lottery.

Where the hell is my share? I'd better be getting at least a cut- it'd help with the renovating of our Read more... )

Good to know you think so highly of me, Arthur. I will bear that in mind next time you need my assistance with something.

Why would you need to take Iceland's lottery winnings? It wouldn't have anything to do with the state of your economy, would it?

Ah, and here I thought it would be about time for you and I to work together once more, but... It seems Poland is more interested in my 'glitter' than you are, perhaps I should take my suggestions to him instead.

Because you know I never offer help without it being self-serving....but....well. There's no point in my making a deal with you when you obviously feel so strongly about me. Or I could bring the gift of `inspiration` to the clockwork maker instead...one person, inspired enough, can change the world and with her ability combined with Sidhe inspiration ( ... )

...

You're right- you are entirely self-serving, which makes me wonder why you're baiting me with the young miss Buckley.

Leave her out of your ideas- she's done nothing wrong and she is talented enough that you would destroy her if you 'influenced' her.

... What are your ideas?

Ahh, Arthur, you know I prefer working with you, even when other opportunities are available. Your land is just too....prime for the meshing of our two worlds, in ways that other places just aren't. Besides, it would be awkward to try with anyone other than you, even if I could make it work.

How would you like a boost to your economy with an export that no one can mass produce knock-offs of, and the tourism that going to the source of it will generate?

All I need from you is to stir up interest in the fay folk once again. Or had you not noticed that we are slowly dropping off the face of the earth? I wonder if you even still have all of your little friends or if one by one they are vanishing...

Don't remind me of these things Jareth- I already know why they're disspearing... But bringing back interest? How are we meant to do that to the extent of saving the economy? That's a tall order...

And you know I can do little behind my boss' back, though I'd be willing to at the moment- the P.M. at the moment is nothing but a blubbering idiot given a place of power whose more than happy to follow but rather hesitant to lead.

I doubt you would come to me without some sort of plan though- what are your suggestions?

I doubt a retelling of King Arthur would be enough.

It's much, much simpler than you think it is, Arthur. There's one thing that you'll be able to export that no one can ever touch--British Literature. I had thought JK Rowling had it in hand, but then the Americans made a movie, and I think you know where that went.

Stir up interest in the fay folk, I will make sure there are enough...'occurrences' to keep even the sceptics entertained. Then, when the whole world is watching, release a few books. It stirs up their interest even further, and you laugh your way to the bank with the book sales. Then it's just a matter of organising tours across England's more 'active' fairy sites, and all this money you seem to be lacking should come pouring in.

And for once you can see quite sharply what it is that I am getting in return. Rather an unusually nice bargain, given our usual methods of business, wouldn't you say?

... I think you might just have yourself a deal there Jareth- I do believe this has been your easiest yet.

What do you want me to do? If you needing anything of the dark arts, there are plenty of suitable places here for me to put together a place to do it~

I leave it up to you, Arthur, I am never that specific am I? You know more than I do what will get the people's attention, and you know what it is I want and why. You'll come up with something, I'm sure.

Though I already have an idea for part of it...why don't you suggest A Midsummer Night's Dream to the literature teacher?

Leave it to me then~

I'll see what I can do on the Midsummer nights dream front- it shouldn't be too hard to do, most here can be turned on a few nice words and a recommendation.
