--applied lessons 390 - i'll find out about this business on thursday at 2
--music 394 - jazz combo. i can't be there for the auditions. fuuukk.
--music 188 - performance attendance. weird stuff. guys "putting weird stuff like bowls inside the piano." - bethany, music student
--film genres - a film and a discussion in a 3.5 hour block (longest class i've ever taken. beats history 133 by an entire hour)
--music 271 - improvisation. beginning of a 6 term series. this is gonna be ubercool.
and i got a 3rd job today. never fear, i'm just the SOC Assistant (and no, the SOC doesn't stand for sociology, though i honestly couldn't tell you what it does stand for). my job is to assist roger. roger is fucking cool. he has a $2500/mo. office budget, which he uses to buy comfortable chairs and office supplies in massive amounts. during my "interview" today, he turned my attention to his newest purchases - he was the proud new owner of an industrial strength paper hole puncher, a table-top paper cutter, and an electronic stapler, just to name a few. he advised me to purchase an office chair for myself upon assuming my new position as his assistant, so that he and i could tactfully tackle the tasks set forth before us - meeting with all the student groups that hadn't expended their entire september budget to find out why they hadn't blown the bling.
the job makes me sick to my stomach already. looking at my tuition balance is like throwing back the pepto-bismal, though.
