Character information
Character's Name: Felicia Vargas / North Italy
Series: Axis Powers Hetalia
Age: apparently a 16-17 years old girl.
Timeline: 20 March 1861, three days after the official italian union.

Canon Resource Link: She doesn't have too much to work on and I'll have to base myself on Chibitalia's story, assuming it's similar, and pure history. It's like dealing with a very secondary character, I guess. I couldn't find any useful link but I'll link all the few canon things we have in the personality part.

Country: History as Italy.

- She's born under the Roman Empire. There's not a precise date, she only knows her brother appeared before her. Somewhere between 27 a.C. and 476 d.C. she leaves her house with her grandmother and grows up isolated from other countries. Apparently she never met her sister before

- Somewhere, slightly before 476 d.c. she'll return home to meet the friends they left. All of them become bullies but, unlike her male counterpart, she grows up a more aggressive personality despite repressing it because she's a woman and... it would be wrong (It's canon that, while M.North Italy hides from England and asks Germany's help, she directly attacks fem!England.)

-  In 476 d.c. the Empire fell and is s conquered by barbarians and the Middle Age starts. In 578 most of N.Italy was under German Barbarians's rule Her Relationship with Holy Roman Empire (She though she was a boy) started in the wrong way, even because her Grandmother wasn't exactly the best German-family-fan and she told her to avoid HRE. And Nonna Roma disappeares too.

-Battles battles and battles, sometimes even with Big Brother France's help, some other times with Spain and big Sister's but she was too weak too to really help. Around 750 feudalism starts in Italy.

- 962: Italy gets married with HRE, politically speaking only no even if they were adults there was no way Italy'd let HRE enter in her bed. Otto I is king of North Italy and HRE too... and she doesn't enjoy the tought, not at all. Anyway she accepts it because she's tired of wars and everything and she manages to live pret well as long as he's away. Italy's position in Mediterran Sea is the best and her economy is going retty well.

- 1152, Federico Barbarossa (Red Beard) decides to show Italy who's the king... and for Italy's fine as long as HRE doesn't talk about taxes. To say what happens in a single word: war. She sides with France, England and the Pope in fighting HRE, Felicia shows her balls during those years and doesn't give up. It ends in 1177 with Venice's truce.

- Somehow her life goes on, between a problem and another one, but she lets her politics taking care of everything, trying to be a good 'woman' for that age's standards. The worse memory she has about that period? The clothes, so uncomfortable...

- 1412/1454: She's feeling sick, really sick: Italian states are fighting each others (In north the largest rivals are Milan's duchy, Venice's Republic and Firenze's Republic: They kept going on with teir expansionistic politic and the north was a mess. Even the Kingdom of South has problems (1435-1442, dinastic problems) and this doesn't help. At least with the Lodi's truce in 1454 Venice and Milan stop being enemies, it's like a large wound that starts healing). It's starting the Renaissance.

- 1492, Cristoforo Colombo, an unknown italian man, discovers America. It doesn't seems such an important thing and when he dies, in Spain, he's really, really poor. She was too busy to care about it because, two years later, in 1494 Italy becomes a mess: There are three big wars (1494-98 with Carlo VIII, 1499-1504 with Luigi XII and 1508-16 with the Lege di Cambrai. Italy was weak, so weak and when France and Spain started fighting for south Italy she was just too weak. Part of Spain, anyway, controlled Milan too.

-She had to rely on Spain too, despite being only her big sister the one in Spain's house. Being a 'Spaniard Colony' started officlally in 1559 with Cateau-Cambrésis's truce and ended with the War of Spanish succession when Italy passed under Ausrtia's power. HRE is becoming more and more weaker and she starts not being too hostile around her. Italy too is becoeing weaker: America is damaging Mediterraneo's economy too much...

-1701/1714 She ends under Austria's control and, let's choose a random 1711, she moves in his house as a maid while, in the same period, Spain decided to take Italy back and manages to get the South. Again. Unlike the first time, Spain revealed herself as one of the worse Italian bosses ever. Felicia still has to forgive her and she's pretty sure for her sister is the same.

-1733 She meets Poland during his succession war. It's, like, istant friendship.

-1740: Carlo VI dies and Maria Theresa becomes queen. There are many internal problems in Austria and Italy is occupied too, in Geona. Italians started being really upset and, when Balilla (a young patriotic boy) threw a stone to a AUstriac soldier the war started. Felicia managed to kick Austria out of Geona and with 'Trattato di Aquisgrana' (1748) peace returned.

-In 1700' she's feeling better: Despite being a strange boss, Austria is not so bad and it helps Italy healing her economy.

- Between 1796 and 1800 Napoleon invades Italy and tries to steal it from Austria. Felicia sighs and all she can say is "Again?" feeling like she'd be the one to protest... but first Piedmont has to submit, then Milan accepts Napoleon as a hero... it's a mess and then only sure thing is that in 1797, with Campoformio's treaty, Venice ends with Austria.

- In 1804 Napoleon becomes King of Italy and turns the Italian republic in Italian kingdom under his power. Austria and HRE try to fight France but they lose and HRE dies. France is the one who tells her about HRE's death.

- She realized she actually cared of HRE but it's too late. No goobye-panties in her case, or last kisses.

- in 1800 a secret political movement start with the 'Carbonari' but it's soon crushed by Austria. After them the "Giovine Italia" borns and she meets Giuseppe Mazzini in 1831. He persuades her on how wonderful would be having a united Italy.

- Carlo Alberto of Savoia, the king, gives the 'statuto Albertino'... some kind of constitution of the kingdom.

- Now she's sure she wants to leave Austria and become indipendent. From 1848 a large number of people started protesting and asking for freedom, especially in Venice and Milan. Importants are the five days of Milan.

- Carlo Alberto of Savoia decides it's time to fight and she completely supports him as far as a woman is allowed to. The first Italian war of Independence starts... but despite being more than confident in herself she fails and Austria wins. She starts really loving Venezia too because the city resisted more than any othe Italian territory and had to give up only for a cholera pestilence.

- 1852: Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour becomes Prime minster of Italy: it makes the Kingdom of Sardinia (How she was called back then) stronger and in 1955 he joined the Crimea's war with 15.000 men: it allowed Italy to join the Congress of Paris and become more friendly with England, Prussia and France.

-Felicia and Cavour manage to make a secret pact with Napoleon and France: if someone attacks Italy then France will help her. With a provocatory attitude, Cavour indirectly convinces Austria to attack his territories and in 1859 the Second Italian war o indipendence starts.

-Many and many battle follows here and, while she takes care of the North trying to understand how to deal with her many new regions (Now she has seven regions even if she's disappointed because she wasn't able to have Venice too.

-in 1860 Giuseppe Garbaldi heads the 'Spedizione dei mille': she sends her men to 'conquer and free' South Italy. Garibaldi and his men had easy life in their journey... in Sicily they were helped a lot and, while they were still moving to the north, many and many people from south offered their support.

-in 1860 the two Italies become a single country, the first day of october, and Felicia moved in a larger house with her sister.

- Despite still lacking some regions (And especially still having to conquer Venice and Rome) they officially united Italy in 1861 and Vittorio Emanuele II become the first king of Italy.

Personality:

Felicia’s hobbies? Sleeping, eating, singing, reading and painting despite being the last two somehow ‘inappropriate’ for a woman. Oh, there’s hitting on young and handsome men too but she never went further than slight flirts, held hands and, even if it’s indecent, kissing cheeks.
Her tastes, in food, seems to be different from modern-Italies: Polenta is the most important and her favorite food while pasta and pizza were just… well… only pasta and pizza. Tomatoes were still mostly unknown and unused.
She’s less coward than her male counterpart and less afraid of physical pain: she probably has a great potential to become a strong fighter but her role as woman completely stops her. Felicia’ll probably being able to show her less ‘kind’ side only if one of the people she cares about is in danger at first, but probably without having to deal with her period’s strict rules she’ll end up being really more… uhm… energic.
What makes her who she is? Her people: she partially reflects what Italian women are and partially what Italian thinks women should be. Despite having a strong personality the influence of her people is still too strong and this represses her a lot. Being a good mother is one of the most important things for a woman of her period, that’s why she’ll show a strong maternal instinct with ‘her children’ (members of her family, Italians or people she’ll eventually ‘adopt’).
Being taken in one of her most serious periods she’ll even result extremely determined: when she’ll want something she’ll do her best to obtain it even if she’ll be aware of her general weakness.

She’ll be a strongly religious woman because, despite some issues she recently had with the Pope and Switzerland (Perugia’s massacre) her people still strongly believe in God.
Talking about Felicia’s beliefs and morals, she’ll probably have big problems dealing with homosexuality and she’ll refuse to believe a older self / male version of herself will eventually in love with a person of the same gender. And generally will be against it

Even if canonically there’s not any kind of ‘default weapon’ I wonder if a rolling pin would be appropriate, is the most classical weapon for a housewife in Italian mentality.

Powers:  As country her life span is longer than the other creatures, if she manages to stay strong it’ll probably almost be a form of immortality too. Other kinds of powers?  ‘Summoning’ her rolling pin wherever she is can count as a power? I guess she’ll be better ending just like a common girl, after all.

Third-Person Sample:
Felicia finished to close the box where she hid her sister’s Christmas present: being the first year they could celebrate it together the woman decided to make it personally and since she heard Romana murmuring something about wanting new clothes, her sister was apparently unable to tell things straight, she sew her a green one.

"Veh..."

Well, of course she wasn't able to use the best materials to make it (They just ended a war, there was another conflict in the air and Italy was a little mess) but she was more satisfied of the result.

"And now..."

She walked in her new living room, the one of the house she decided to share with her sister, and placed her present under the tree, lighting on the decorative candles, adding some pieces of wood in the fireplace and sitting on the couch with a satisfied sigh: her sister was probably going to wake up soon and she still had time to relax before preparing herself for the mass (even if the idea of meeting that pope wasn't making her too happy).

"You already awake, stupid little sister?"

She smiled widely at Romana who, still wearing her large dressing gown and yawning, just entered in the room.

"Of course I am, we just have a hour before having to go."

Romana sighed heavily and Felicia couldn't say anything: they already spent the whole night in the church, just having few hours to sleep in the morning, and the whole day was going to be extremely boring (Mass, lunch with the king, attending at the various ceremonies...). Being completely indipendent was more difficult than she thought but at least...

"Vabbè..." the older one murmured taking place at her side "Cerchiamo di sopravvivere, eh?"*

Felicia nodded, curling up against her sister and closing her eyes. At least they could stay together.

*well, let's try to survive, eh? (It's somehow ironic in Italy)
I seriously had no idea about what could I write here X3

Anything else? Uh.. what else should I add? I can only apologize if my english isn't good but I never studied it at school until this year... and that's all, I guess.
