Maddy the administration girl was really excited about a lady that came in today who looked exactly like Princess Mary, maybe the palace is a bit shabby and in need of some Spainish porcelain. Annie dreamt (although she wasn't sure whether it was a dream or real life and had to ask us) that Princess Mary was caught using and in possession of illicit drugs...
I've almost finished 'Alias Grace'. It has been a mammoth effort and something pretty impressive had better happen in the final couple of pages otherwise I'll feel a little cheated.
