This is the beginning of my last week of work before my 16 days of holidays. I've never had paid vacation time before. I like this. Everyone keeps asking me where i'm going. As if its a given. Someone thought I was going to Miami for the superbowl cause im like...the only NFL fan in Canada. Uhhhm at $3,000 dollars just for the game TICKET. I doubt it. ha. Im not going anywhere. A girl at work is trying to convince me to go to Vegas for at least a couple days. Ya know, I might have actually considered that if that stupid passport law didnt roll in (gotta get that done soon). Maybe will take a 3 day road trip to Calgary or Banff of Radium if I get bored enough. Dont think I'll get bored enough for a drive to Vancouver. But ya never know. I've made very few plans because I want to feel the sweetness of free time. The plans i have made are nice and selfish though. I have a couple things lined up:
-Feb 1: Watch the premier of the Sarah Silveman Program on comedy central
-Feb 4: Superbowl Party @ Brewsters (go colts)
-Feb 6: Appointment at Eveline Charles Day Spa to get a facial with my Mom
-Feb 7&8: Spend time with my Dad as he says he's going to fly out here on these days!!!
-Feb 14: Valentines Day Dinner with Eric at one of those super exquisite fancy restraunts downtown. Forget the name of it. The Red Owl Inn, or something. There's like a dress code!
-Read. I ordered following 3 books from amazon for the entire purpose of my vacation:
-"The Stranger Beside Me" by Ann Rule (I've already read this book, but its really good and should exist on the shelf)
-"The Catcher in the Rye" by JD Salinger (one of those classics that i dont know how i've gone 22 years without reading)
- "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson (A random pick. The write ups struck my interest)
