I jumped through every hoop. Including the fire-y ones...
This past week was my Brinks training.... Which was like a week-long pressured test. 3 days in class. 2 days at the firing range. But guys, I have to say im very proud of myself. I kicked ass on all tests. I got 100% on my shooting test (only 3 other people did, i was the only girl that did this well), 98% on my written test, 100% on my scenario test, 100% on my self defense test, 95% on my armoured truck road test. passed the medical, passed the drivers abstract, and passed the backround check.
My body aches, my mind is racing at 100 miles a minute, but as of yesterday i was officially made a Brinks employee. I am so excited. I love the people. So real, non-kaniving, and easy going. None of this unnatural office environment bullshit that just isn't for me. I like that i'll be out driving in the world each day and not confined in a little inhumane cubicle. Since this is a high risk job - transporting millions of dollars day to day - i'll be wearing a bullet proof vest, and of course, carrying a gun at all times of duty. Because of this, the pay is very good. So yeah, im SO getting a new car instead of used one this summer. Heheh. Sweetness. I knew this would come together.
Had beers with Sean, Richard, and Chrislyn last night. And this afternoon as well...They are such wicked friends. I love how i can just walk into that house at any time, sit down in the living room, have a cracked beer handed to me, and just talk, laugh, be completely silly, and listen to music.
Im a lucky girl.
