don't let me stop your great self-destruction. Die, if you want to, you misguided martyr

So, JC Superstar was pretty awesome. Ted Neeley was, as I suspected, CLEARLY too old to be Jesus. Like, ridiculously. But it was still awesome. Judas and Mary had amazing voices. Pilate was pretty good too. Caiaphas sounded just like the guy in the movie, lolz ( Read more... )

Don't think I could do TMNT, but have the other two :)

It's mixed in with the rest of the photos, and he's not sure if it's there on purpose or by some impossible chance. Either way, it's not something he's expecting to find between pictures of Akane Tendou pulverizing a cinder block and the pigtailed girl stretching in a most fetching and revealing fashion.

But between those beauties is a brown haired fantasy the likes of which he has never before seen. Lounging beside the pool with long legs (unbelievably so) stretched and crossed at the ankles. Her swimsuit leaves so little to the imagination - the curve of a hip and the smooth, tanned expanse of skin exposed to greedy eyes.

His mouth is dry as he stares at her, the pigtailed girl and Akane forgotten. Knocked out of the ring.

"Whoops. That one's not for sale," comes a low voice from behind him, like fingertips on his spine. A hand sneaks around to snatch the photo away. Her arm brushes his.

He turns to face her, his newfound desire plain on his face as he meets her unwavering, unimpressed gaze.

Truly, conquering her will be a challenge the likes of which he has never before encountered.

He's sure he's up to it.

She clucks when she sees you, the hat she made perched on your head like an awkward, orange bird in an unkempt nest. She kisses you on the cheek and you let her because you're alone and you guess she gave birth to you and stuff so it's only right.

"You've lost weight," are the first words she says to you after five years away and you sit down at the table when she leads you into the kitchen. The table cloth is checkered and it feels like home.

"Don't they feed you in space?" she grumbles, flitting in and out of cupboards.

"Yeah." You don't feel the need to elaborate. To tell her that the going's been tough and there's not much work out there, legal or otherwise. Can't rob no one if there's no one to rob. No one who deserves it, anyway. Kaylee gets her panties in a twist about picking on innocents and the Captain's a pushover when it comes to the ladies on ship (Simon included). He's got weird ideas of right and wrong anyway. Wrong is you having nothing to eat, but no one else sees it right.

She drops the plate in front of you. Chipped edges and flowery designs. The toast is burnt, and the jam too sweet. You eat every bite and are grateful. She watches you eat, and you think she looks pretty damn grateful, too.
