HI!
Sunday I went to NoVA (Northern Virginia)-Got to Eddie's at about 5-6pm... And Evan was there... He really pissed me off, giving me all this shit right after driving all afternoon... When I left I was not a happy person.. Went to Alexandria, to my sister's at 7pm.. Waited for her to get home, and then I helped her with her computer and stuff... It took a long time, including a quick trip to the Ghetto Wal-Mart there. That was the shortest time I've ever been in a Wal-Mart... lol. Anyways, we had trouble with the phone line, so we had to get a new cord and multi-jack.. Then trying to install the new printer Dad and I got her was lots of fun.... Cuz I had to free up enough space... But before that I had to get the cd drive working.... grrrr.... so in the mean time we ended up watching the last half of Mrs. Winterbourne, and we watched this fabulous foreign film called All About My Mother.. LOOK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I give a bad description of it, so just go look it up... I didn't leave Cathy's to go to Jay's till about midnight, so I didn't get there til about 1:30am..
Jay lives in MD, it was really weird feeling to go on the beltway and pass exit 25, and not get off... I almost had to force myself not to out of habit... heh. It was cool seeing Jay, we played video games and watched Robotech mostly... Heh, making fun of Robotech is lots of fun, right? Especially about just how lovely Lynn Minmay's singing is.... or just how smart Rick Hunter is... And Lisa Haye's ... uh... yummy (yeah that's it) looking hair.. I actually got Jay to watch some of Margaret Cho's I'm the One that I Want... which was cool.. It really added to the mockage of Robotech later... hahah. Right Jay? Luckily enough for me... (yeah right) I got my period while at Jay's on Monday morning.... Thank God I actually decided to take some pad's with me... unfortunately with that being the case, that basically ruined the chance of my kicking Jay's ass in DDR.. We didn't even play, it was that bad.... Well Jay had to go to work early this morning so we went to bed fairly early, but we did do a lot of chatting, which really helped me out... I didn't leave til about 10:30 am... I went straight to the local Safeway and bought pads, then headed to NoVA.
I got to NoVA about noon. I wasn't supposed to meet up with Abdul M. till about 4pm so I went to Springfield Mall... I decided to check out the Suncoast and look for All About My Mother... (Yes I know Lord of the Rings came out, but I wasn't interested, I'll wait for the Special edition, if I decide to get it... lol) I went to the G/L section to look for it, and Wendy walked by and she knows me well enough.... SO of course she tells me that they're taking pre-orders on Fluffer and Jessica Stein.. I thought that was pretty cool, I love the ppl at Suncoast. Wendy always keeps me updated on what G/L stuff they get... Well, they didn't have All About My Mother, I ended up with Mulholland Drive.. I walked down to the other section of the mall- to Sam Goody's to see if they had All About My Mother, and as soon as I walk in the guy asks me how I'm doing and if I still work at Starland.... (I had no clue who this guys was.. it threw me off) but I just said no, because I moved to Staunton, and he was surprised... They didn't have it either, (their movie section really sucks... but Suncoast owns them anyways.. lol) so I went to Best Buy, and they didn't have it either.. I called Eddie and went to his house... To kill time before going to Abdul's and to let him make a copy of the Jet Set Radio Future OST that I got from Jay... We ended up watching half of Mulholland Drive before Eddie had to go to work and I had to go pick up Abdul...
I went to Abdul's at 4... and he wasn't there... I called his house, and he wasn't there.... I was not happy at all.... I was getting ready to leave, when I actually decided to try and call his cell.. (it's techniquely his mom's so I'm kinda paranoid about calling it sometimes...Anyways, he picked it up and he was at NVCC Annandale Campus...So I went to go pick him up.. It was so good to see him. It felt like it really had been too long.. He was hungry so we went to Panda Express... I just got some juice.. (I wasn't really hungry, because Eddie got me Wendy's #6, senkyu!!!).. After that we went to the Starbucks on Columbia Pike, by the Harris Teeter.. The whole time all we did was talk... we talked about everyone, and about pride (no not THAT pride...) about how he was and how Dena was... That mad me feel better, he gave me a lot of much needed support. He told me some more about his album that's in the works and about his songs. He sang some of them for me, which were just wonderful, and absolutely fitting for me.. and for me, too, context wise at least. Dena's going to help him record them for the album and he said they have some ideas for a music video, which sounded cool.. We got back to talking about everyone else... my trips to NOVA, about David, Maram, Abdul Hadi and Eddie.. Abdul talked about how he missed Eddie, so I took him to Toy's R Us and we surprised Eddie.. So we got to surprise Eddie, and Sheldon surprised me. After TRU we went to Funcoland, but on the way there I started cramping REALLY badly so Abdul gave me some aspirin.. It was actually aspirin that Dena had given him yesterday, because he's sick.. He didn't use it, so I ended up using Egyptian Aspirin.. lol. Kind of ironic. but amusing none the less. I asked him if he was going to see Dena again, he said he would, so I gave him Alice in Wonderland, and the bookmark to give back to Dena for me... Actually on the way back to NOVA from Jay's I was tempted to stop by the diner to drop them off, but I forced myself once again not to.. While I was waiting for Abdul at his place, I deleted her numbers from my cell phone so I wouldn't even be tempted to call her.... (I never did manage to memorize her numbers so it works out..., I still have them at home on my computer, but it'll be easier this way..) Abdul got GTA3 at Funcoland, then I took him home... He was getting really sick at this point... I know how he feels... We both haven't really been eating well..... about one meal a day.. heh. eh, well... it was getting late so we said our temporary goodbye's and I started my drive home...
I'm already getting to the point where I hate the drive between Staunton and NoVA.. Sure its a basic enough drive.. just 66 W to 81 S and that’s about it... but it's 3 hours long... about 1 1/2 on each... and the drive down both really sucks...once 66 merges down to 2 lanes it gets kind of curvy, and it could be real easy to drive off the road into a ditch or something if you're not careful.. 81 is 2 lanes as well, and there are SO many trucks on it, that it's not even funny... it can be scary too... plus there's all this road work on 66 and 81...All of this makes it even harder at night. Even with music.. (Kami, your MOVE cd really saves me sometimes...) my mind wanders, and leads me generally to Dena, but I think about everyone else too.. But it's not like I have anyone to keep me company on the trips...It's hard by myself.
