More and more I am finding that Virginia is not for Lovers.. or at least Virginia doesn't love us.

Let me give you some examples:

Driving on a suspended or revoked permit - Civil penalty $750.00 + the court cost & fines
Reckless Driving - Civil penalty $1,050.00 + the court cost & fines
DUI - 1st offence - Civil penalty $2,250.00 + the court cost & fines
Failure to give proper signal - Civil penalty $1,050.00 + the court cost & fines
Leaving the scene of an accident - Civil penalty $3,000.00 + the court cost & fines

These civil penalties canNOT be reduced by anyone...

You'll be given 3 years to pay it off. The court cost, fines and first payment are paid at court while the other 2 payments are made at the DMV. I know you wanted another reason to love the DMV...

Did I also mention that these civil penalties do not apply to anyone from out of state?!
