Hey Peeps...
Here is a new piece.
This is the last poem for a while. Thanks for your support, and your undying dedication to my work. I need to find something else to do with my time, and writing useless words on an imaginary page is not what it's all about anymore.
Peace, and have a great day. Look ever forward, let none push you back, and write like it's the last breath you'll ever take ... sing like there's no breath beyond this moment.
~J.R.
Tomorrow
If this was my dying day
I had nothing left to live for
But your last touch ...
Would you hold my hand
In public? In the street?
Just us for one brief moment
A time you'd soon forget
Would you hold me?
Could I listen to you breathe?
To your measured heartbeat?
If I left this earth today
Would you watch me fall?
Into the barren earth below
As they covered my face with dust
Would you shed a tear?
Could you bear to see?
This world of emotion, Fearless
Yet continuous, flows through me
And I give you my hand,
Does it make you feel anything?
As I melt into chronologued moments
May I gaze at your eternal smile?
We may not have all we were
Given since birth, but We have
The softness of this evening's bliss
And I share with you my gift of
Labored life, Stranded by time's kiss,
Will you accept my offering?
It's really not important
Since I stand alone at secret's gate,
We follow paths far removed from
Realality, We walk disturbed by
Some unforseen dream, alone, unloved.
Will you deliver me peace?
As such questions, subjective
Leave nothing to imagine, left
Breathless in seas of uncertainty
Yet nobody accepts the inevitable
It soon becomes evening and we all
Shall rest in the arms of eternity.
