The people at my church take their cookies very seriously. And this evening, one of my friends is hosting a chocolate chip cookie tasting, and my recipe is one of the entries. Cookies will be judged on several factors: chip to cookie ratio, texture, cookie paired with milk... Whoever wins get the right to strut.
I'm practicing my strutting now. Am I cocky? No, just the possessor of the best cookies. There's no contesting truth.
EDIT:
I left out a few categories. There were five:
- Appearance of the cookie
- Chip to cookie ratio
- Consistency/texture
- Deliciousness
- Cookie dunkability (in milk)
When the points for all the categories were added up, my cookie came in second.
HOWEVER, I won three of the five, including the one I thought most important: deliciousness.
As one of the taste testers said, winning Cookie Deliciousness is like winning Best Picture at the Oscars.
