Where does a helicopter park on an interstate highway?
...anywhere it wants to.
There was a massive accident this morning on north-bound 101 just after Salinas. I didn't catch all the details on the radio, but when I tuned in they said the highway patrol had just completely closed the entire highway going north because they were landing a medical helicopter on the actual freeway. Later, a customer told me they'd heard it involved a semi and an SUV. Unless they've come out with a new SUV that's even more enormous than the current models....I'd have to say my money's on the semi making it out of that mix-up in better shape. I just pray that everybody made it through in one piece.
Clearly, life in the Monterey Peninsula area is just brimming with excitement. People talked about the accident all day, and there were still remnants of it on the radio this evening, even though the problem had long since been cleaned up. How do I manage?
