Our v-day

Derek and I celebrated Valentines Day on the 13th since he was going to work on the 14th.
I got him a red plush dog to keep on his desk (he wanted something to remind him of me) and a heart full of skittles (as if I don't give him enough candy already!).
Derek decided to make the entire day about me. Yay! We started off going to Sci-fi City so he could get his paychecks and Eric (his boss) wanted to talk to him about something. After that we went to Kabudo's for lunch. Huzzah for sushi! I was glad we went because the last few times they have gone, it was while I was at work and couldn't go.
After lunch we weren't sure what to do, so I suggested mall walking. Derek decided Kenwood since that is the closest decent one he doesn't work at. Well, we got there and there was not a parking spot to be found. I don't just mean a close one. I mean period. Even the surrounding stores were full. Ok, scratch that idea. I called 411 and got the address for the closest SPCA. We decided to go look at dogs (no, we did not want to adopt one just yet. Just wanted to look). So we got there, and they tell us all their dogs are at the adopt-a-thon at their other location, right by where we were. So off we go again.
Twenty minutes later we get there and look at the dogs. Derek found a few he liked. I didn't. Derek wants to get an older dog, where as I would like to get a younger dog.
After we got back from SPCA, we came home, changed, talked to Selina, and then went out to meet Derek's mom to get his W-2 so I can finish our taxes. After that, it was off to dinner. First stop was Olive Garden. I couldn't even get in the door to put our name on the list so that was out. Red Lobster on Winton? 2 hr wait. I suggested we try the Old Spaghetti Factory since I had never eaten there and I had heard good things. 40 minute wait. We'll take it! 45 minutes later we were seated. The place was beautiful. Very Victorian. The food was good and you really got a lot for your money. We are definitely going back there again. A great alternative if Olive Garden is packed.
