Couldn't think of any better title.

A low-key day today that included more snow throughout the day and wind along with it. Yuck.

Again I say, yuck.

I have several open writing projects right now and I've only been able to write bits here and there on each. If I tried to work on just one, the muse would fail me completely and nothing would get done. Thus, I have been working on three pieces of Fanfiction, namely an ongoing National Treasure saga (Jestana and I are on the beginning of book 4 in the series), a continuation of the movie The Queen that I'm calling "The White Knight", and a piece based on the movie RED called "See You in St. Petersburg". To all of this I add two original novels that I've been slowly adding to over the last year since I published "Wild Horses". One is my urban fantasy "Darkest Before Dawn", and the other is a psychological thriller called "Flower of the Field".

I intended "Flower of the Field" to follow "Wild Horses" as its sequel, but in the past two weeks or so, I've begun to wonder if it wouldn't be more fun to continue the story in a bit more direct fashion and make the next book a true 'sequel', that is, make it another story about Miriam, Agnes, and their family. Now that they've married and Jesse is at school, all sorts of routes to mischief should present themselves, right? I hope so. I adore those characters and I'd love to use them all again. I do want to make some sort of series for Jeremiah and Karly Adkins though, and that's the route that "Flower of the Field" is destined to take. It is going to be the next major case for our intrepid private investigators as they become involved in solving the violent disappearance of a young nun.

Those of you who have read "Wild Horses" help me out here: If I were to continue the story, where could I go from where I ended the book? Input would be much appreciated here or at the book's Facebook Fanpage forums.

In other news, between chores, I spent a great deal of time on the site http://love.givesmehope.com hoping to lift my spirits a little. It succeeded in getting me laughing a couple of times and ultimately made me cry. Too bad nothing like the stories on that site will ever happen for me. That's right. Reality reigns supreme despite the passionate, enduring romances and spirited compassion that dominates my written work.

If even one person tells me that they're sorry I feel that way, that I should just be patient because it's worth the wait, or tells me to "give it up to God" I'm going to curse you into the next millennium. May the arachnoid denizens of the world's deserts creep and skitter their way into your snug little bed.

Do you know how big the spiders are in the desert?
