The local bakery here started making red velvet cupcakes. I have always had a huge thing for them but have been good so far and not tagged any for myself. I grabbed one for Deb as I was not sure she had had them before and she liked it.

Tigan is my friend! (it's in the same class of drug as Zofran)

When do you get all of your testing done?

I had an EKG on Friday, at my GP appointment, I get the echocardiogram and Holter test on Wednesday. I get all my bloodwork done on Friday because I had to wait exactly two weeks before retaking my B12 and D. I also am done with my Holter Test on Friday.

I'm willing to bet you're Vitamin D deficient. Actually, Vitamin D-3, to be exact.

Almost everyone in the world is, and I'll tell you why. We're supposed to get vitamin D from the sun. It takes about 24-48 hours to metabolize, however, it washes off in the shower. (My psych told me this and I looked it up, it's true!)

I take 5,000 IU of D-3 a day and you can take up to 10,000 IU. 2,000 IU is not enough to make it go up. Mine was pretty low and I should get re-tested in a few months. Vitamin D helps bones, which is great.

Keep me posted about the results of everything.

I'm sorry if I come off as a know it all. It's because I have a lot of medical people in my family and I read anatomy books for fun.

Also, if you're prone to pain, get magnesium malate. My psych has chronic back pain and she takes it. It's an effective OTC painkiller without side effects thanks to the malic acid in it.

Order from Vitacost.com, if you need anything. The prices there are amazing!
