Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

Boy, you certainly don't forget how to ride a bike, but you can certainly be out of practice. As much as that bike ride kicked my ass, I enjoyed it immensely. I've never taken a bike of public sidewalks or streets and it's been several several years since I've ridden one. First, I had to figure out exactly how to traverse all the construction that's going on outside the condos, and I read up a little on bike laws. (Unless I'm mistaken, it's not required to where a helmet if you are over 18 years of age.) I decided to stick with the sidewalk unless I came across bike lanes. This road is way too busy to ride in the streets, even though I've seen some professional cyclists interact with traffic here as comfortably as motorcyclists. So, I began my bike trip, where the road was at a very slight incline. I passed by a small park, where there were trails going in but there was so many landscaping dudes that I decided to skip it. In an effort to get away from the main traffic, I turned down a semi-residential street near the fire house. Apparently, I ended going up the road at a rather steep incline. It kicked my ass. But it had a bike lane both ways, so it was fun. (Except for my rather sad attempt to pop the curb... which was in front of a group of burly construction guys... who ended up flirting with me.... ick.) On the way back home, I stopped by a liquor store that I'd never been in before to grab some gatorade. I then realized I was missing a good place to keep the oversized bottle, something I'll keep in mind in the future. Before reaching the condos again, I decided to check out the little Park I had passed by, and discovered something I never would have by car. It was a tiny little thing with one path that trailed alongside a decent little creek. There were signs up that you could fish if you released what you caught, and there was even a young dude who was casting his line into the creek. There were ducks all over and reeds poking up out of the water. I had no idea this park was here, and it's directly across from the condos I live in!

Still, kicked my ass. I am so worn out, but in a good way. I should make a habit out of biking around. Maybe my next goal with be to reach Starbucks XD

Right now, I gotta stretch, and finish my Sociology reading...
