Despite living within the dream city for nearly three full years, dreamwalking and interactive dreams were not something the woman has ever had the chance to experience. Though she had spent an entire lifetime (fake, of course) studying all there was to dream energy and nightmares and interference within dreams, Naomi had always taken the scientific and very detached point of view in her studies. She knew all there was to know essentially, but that knowledge was more than enough for her. She didn't feel the need to experiment with such unpredictable things herself and see how it felt. No, not when others in the city would always be more than willing to throw themselves into that unknown for the sake of thrill.

She was obviously not one of them.

So because of her inexperience in the subject, it shouldn't have been any surprise at all to learn that the woman's first accidental journey with dreamwalking felt as if she was the one dreaming. Nothing more.

And really, Cesare's appearance seemed to only confirm her theory. Why wouldn't she be dreaming of the handsome man she had become so fond of? And dressed oh so nicely too. Nothing has even happened yet and already Naomi is enjoying this very pleasant dream.

She chose to stand off to the side for now, more than pleased to simply admire the man in his sword play for the moment.

Cesare was practicing controlling his dream-self's movements consciously. So much of sword fighting was reflex and reaction, the memory of your muscles and reading from an opponent. Trying to mimic that in a dream while maintaining the dreamfield was strange and not altogether easy for him. Some times when he would make a complicated series of steps and swings, pieces of the courtyard would fade or warp.

Her arrival was not expected and when he had noticed her finally he glanced in her direction. "You have decided to join me?" he asked, unaware she was under the impression this was her own dream.

It was certainly interesting to watch him weave his way expertly around the courtyard with his sword in hand, a sight that reminded her distinctly of Frank with his own blade in hand. Though well practiced in firearms as a soldier of his time period should be, her brother had always preferred to use his machete instead. It was the weapon he had always felt much more comfortable with.

With that dark gaze of hers was firmly fixed on Cesare the entire time in this fantasy so far, Naomi just so happened to miss how unstable this particular dream realm seemed to be. That sort of realization might be distracting for her.

"Are you really surprised?" From her point of view he shouldn't be, after all. "I always enjoy spending time with you."

"But here? Did you bring a sword with you?" he teased lightly. Cesare stopped his practice and turned to face her, the tip of his sword dropping to rest in the grass. As his concentration came to bear on the dreamfield it fluctuated into sudden vividness. The colors and textures around them became vivid and sharp, the sun brighter on their skin, the plants more lush.

"Or perhaps just here to support a good cause, I think."

((ooc note! I am just coming back from my hiatus and wanted to hit it up incase you wanted to continue, if you don't want to do back-tagging on this it's totally fine <3))

The woman's dark eyes roll back playfully at his spirited jest, her smile only growing when Cesare's attention moved to her more completely, an action she always loved to see from men. But before she can open her mouth and answer back in the same teasing way, there was a peculiar splash of vivid colors thrown against them and the scenery, the brightness far too sharp to miss.

It was a dream though, the woman recognized rather immediately, just one of those lucid dreams that she experienced every now and then while in Somarium. Nothing to be concerned about. Dreams always contained oddness like that, didn't they?

So her own gaze was back on Cesare quickly, head tilting as her usual coy smile slipped without warning onto her lovely face. "Why don't you tell me why I'm here?"

Cesare considered his possible answers to Naomi. He stood there silently, his dream body seeming to take in a slow breath as he mulled over just how he wanted to respond. Part of him wanted to tease, be coy right back, and play the game with her.

The other was still mad as hell about what had happened. It wasn't just that the big ape had interrupted him, it was that there had been something to interrupt. Cesare had continually told himself not to take things too far with Naomi, that it was a mistake. And yet, there he was, in a compromising position entirely of his own making. It irked something bad and Cesare hated he had put his plans in jeopardy over a woman.

"Maybe you are here to apologize," he said quietly. It could have sounded much meaner than it came out, though it was not fun or playful like they usually bantered.

It was more than enough to wipe the sweet smile from her face.

"Apologize?" Just what kind of a dream was this? Certainly not the sexy encounter she had been hoping for. "Did I do something enough to warrant an apology to you?"

It certainly hadn't been her fault that Drake had barged into their previous fun before. She believed she was just as irritated with that interruption as Cesare had been.

"For-" Cesare started and then stopped. This dream was likely visible to others, he suddenly realized. Or if people wanted to come and look in on it they could choose to, if they came looking for it specifically. It was too dangerous to talk openly of such things.

"Nevermind, we will perhaps speak of it later." Cesare motioned upward vaguely. "Such conversations are for less public spectacle I should think."

He looked at her curiously. "Why have you come into my dream?"

As the man quickly backed down from speaking honestly about whatever little 'error' she'd made in their last encounter together, Naomi's dark eyes rolled as she moved to him immediately, both of her slender arms trailing upward to encircle his neck affectionately. She'll just continue to ignore that sword in his hand and hope he will as well.

"I don't see anyone else around here, why would you think this is a public sp-..."

But his final question caught the woman off guard. Her chin tilted upwards, a genuine look on confusion flickering across her face." Your dream?"

"My dream." By the look on her face it was obvious, but he stated it anyway: "You did not enter here purposely then."

Cesare looked to the side and carefully stabbed the tip of his sword into the ground to free his hands, and he brought them up to her arms and rested them there a moment. He gently tried to guide her arms away from himself: he did not think they should be so affectionate any longer, but he did not want to hurt her feelings either. Not too much anyway, not enough to cause an ugly debacle.

"I created this dreamfield to help with the fighting efforts going on."
