Muhlenburg North's Prom (pitcures to come later)

May 01, 2006 19:08

I went to Muhlenburg North's prom on Saturday with one of my friends from The Hobbit.

During The Hobbit we talked and had a good time, but when I picked her up Saturday she wouldn't talk. On the way to Hopkinsville I tried to strike up several conversations with her and after the fifth attempt failed I put in Wicked and listened to that the rest of the way there.

Once we got to the convention center we were sitting in the lobby and I made the comment "I've never been to a prom that had a Grand March, this should be fun." To which she replied, "Oh, we're not doing the Grand March, I don't want to be announced.

Okay, it's her prom. That's fine.

So we are ushered up to a rooma way from the lobby where we wait for prom to start. She's still just kinda standing there, staring at me and I'm waiting and praying for someone I know from MCTI to come in so I can have someone to talk to. After a while, Adam Vincent and Lauren Gaylen arrived. Lauren was the other Gollum in The Hobbit, you know, the one who stole two of my shows? (Note to Lauren: If you find and read this, know that I don't hate you anymore.) When I saw Lauren my first thought was "Oh, fuck. Now I have to put up with that bitch," but she turned out to be pretty cool.

Adam and Lauren didn't get announced either so we sat in the holding chamber and watched the long line of prom-goers leave the room. We then took the elevator down to the main level and snuck into the ballroom.

Except for a couple of slow dances, Amanda didn't move the entire time. She just kinda sat there, she wouldn't get up and dance or anything. So I spent 90% of the evening dacing with Adam and Lauren.

Project Prom was pretty fun too. Amanda kinda stood there and still wouldn't talk to me. But Lauren challenged me to a game of Twister. This was fun because A) it was on a giant inflatable Twister mat and B) it was a Gollum-battle. We didn't play smart, we played to out-manuver the other person. I lost because I was trying to show off too much and the inflatable mat likes to shake a lot. *sad*

Overall the evening was a lot of fun. I wish Amanda would have loosened up some, but its her loss.

Central's prom will be a lot more fun, I'm sure.
