Estrogen=Evil

Recently I've been reading about and researching estrogen dominance. I would bet money that it is the root of all of my PMS problems and weight gain. I bought some progesterone cream and thought the problem was solved. That was last month. This month, my issues are coming back, but not as severely. Yes, I'm still a huge bitch at times and yes, I'm incredibly hungry and gaining weight but with the cream, it really makes me a nicer person. It gives me some energy and I do feel better, overall and especially emotionally. Last month the change was pretty dramatic but this month, not so much.

Since I ate about 3000 calories last night and another 2500 today, I had to resort to taking the prozac. So, since the progesterone isn't doing its job as well this month as it was last month, my question is this: If you have symptoms of estrogen dominance and are treating with progesterone cream, will that increase the amount of estrogen your body makes to counter-act the progesterone?

I'm really at my wit's end here. I hate taking the prozac because it turns me into an idiot. It does make me lose weight which is great but it makes my judgment so shitty and then I can't do my job.

Anyway, I woke up at 135lbs today. Will probably gain another pound tomorrow since I ate a lot tonight and am going out for St. Pat's day. I wish there was a simpler answer to this hormonal weight gain.

I also tried going on a raw food diet. Nothing but raw foods. It's great! My cramps are literally GONE now! It's a journey though. I can't only eat raw foods all the time. It's expensive for me. Also, some recipes are pretty high in fat and if you don't adhere to it strictly (i.e. eat only raw foods all the time), you gain weight. I find that it gives me energy but doesn't satisfy me.

So I guess at this point, I'll just have to live with Prozac and Progesterone cream and drink some sugar-free red bulls so I can function at work. I'm still going to try to eat a mostly raw-food diet. Balancing the healthy with the unhealthy will get me somewhere, but I'm not sure where... All I know is that estrogen is evil and I have too much of it!
