Memories
Dimly
lit horizon fading as the light
Slowly
sweetly slips into night
Softly
swings are creaking without play
All
have gone at the end of day
Gentle
play and playful fun
For
young love before the day is done
Far
away weeps some poor soul
Soon
there is silence, a deafening lull
Waiting
am I for your soft steps
Your
love in my heart I’ve ever kept
A
gentle breeze caresses faces
Carrying
scents from far away places
Faintly
for a moment you were here
Your
presence a memory I hold so dear
But
now the adolescents play loudly
Out
of my mind sweet memories are crowded
Even
then always your image remains
My
Heart your sweetness ever retains
Now
again someone slowly approaches
Down
upon my light their shadow encroaches
But
soon follows the dialect of close friends
That
sort of conversation that never ends
When
all is considered ‘tis beautiful
A
moment in eternity never so full
I
should be thankful for it all
It
is just so hard not to fall
Back
to the sadness of missing you
Depressed
to madness is almost true
I
could not bear when you were taken from me
So
you will always live in memory
There
your essence forever I’ll hold
There
the end of our story is never told
