I'm sure the Cathedral will have services on Christmas Eve.

Yes, I'm sure.

Do you have a moment, Tony?

I seem to have had a change in circumstance.

I wanted to apologize to you, in case it doesn't last.

So you remember then?

I'm not going to lie. You killed friends of mine, people I care about. But I can tell that you're not that same person and I'm not going to hold it against you for basically what someone else did.

That doesn't mean I'm not going to keep a close eye on you.

Yes.

Really I don't de We were teammates for years and Why aren't people angrier with me?

I killed my husband, Tony, and people I cared about and fought alongside for the best parts of my life. It was so stupid and cruel and selfish of me. "I'm sorry" isn't good enough. I have a little time to decide what I want to do, though--forget again or try to fight what will eventually happen to me otherwise.

In the meantime... my apology is there. And anything I can do.

Wanda, you and I knew each other for a long time. I know you don't know me like I did, but I'd be very hypocritical if I didn't give you a second chance. Or a third chance.

And you can keep on doing what you are doing. I've seen you here, you're a good person who cares about people.

Oh. I'm remembering. It comes back so fast, and then it goes away again...

It is really good to talk to you, you know. Really talk to you, instead of -- whatever it was before.

I know what it's like to hurt or even kill people because you've lost control and it's painful but you do have people here who care about you.

It was good to talk to you too, Wanda. Just remember that memory or not, I'm your friend. Not that I'm especially popular right now back home, but for what it's worth I consider you a friend.

It seems like something we all go through, but the depowering...regardless, I'm very lucky.

The registration. I was told.

Ahhh, by Remy no doubt. He seemed especially unthrilled about it all when he got all his memories while he was here.

I'm sure you can understand why, given the past twenty years of our world's history.

No offense, but mutants tend to have blinders on when it comes to things like this. I can understand why, but we're not asking everyone with mutant abilities to register.

If John With Abilities wants to spend his life as a mechanic and use super strength to lift a car with one hand he doesn't have to say one peep to the government.

By the same token if Jerry who has no abilities wants to put on a costume and fight crime, he needs to register.

If ordinary citizens formed up groups of men and women who wanted to take justice in their own hands we'd call it a lynch mob. I don't see why people with special abilities should be held to a different standard.

Gambit even went so far to say that non-mutants have no right to make laws that affect mutants.

Tony, if I want to debate with you, I'll let you know. First I'd rather study the legislature myself, in lieu of simply listening to bias on either side, before I make any conclusions about what I think personally. I'm not an American citizen, at any rate, and I do think that if an entire population of people (especially one as at-risk as I imagine they must be right now) seems to have a similar opinion there might be some credence to what they're saying. Regardless.

Remy has been taking care of me since I got here, and I think I'd rather hear his opinions from him, please.
