Well, lovely. Everyone he'd rather avoid is here, and those he actually likes (all...two of them) were here, but are now gone. And this place is a bloody mess. So Kay is now looking for whoever is in charge to give them a piece of his mind.

"No, lady, but I am attempting to find who is in charge of the place. You do not know, do you?"

He curses, softly.

"I do not think thou will find such a one, either."

"Every place must have a lord, of some type."

"Nay," shaking her head. "Nay, that is not so."

Impatiently, "Then who administers the house, lady."

"A magic. Truly, thou canst not feel it? Though I tell thee it hath gone from here, and now there is none to maintain it; but before that there was a magic."

"Well, with no one looking to it, there will be a riot soon enough."

[inglewoodblues]

"No doubt, if it cannot be won back."

[unhappysteward]

"We'll need to start rationing." He rubs his forehead. "Lord I wish my head cook were here."
