Let's go to the mall, today!
Well, I got a second part-time job. It's at The Children's Place, a kids' clothing store. (In the same mall as Coles, which is across the street from me.)
Economy: 124883574057373097590470947, Phaedra: 2. I'm getting there!
It's only a few hours a week, kind of like Coles, but combined I'm looking at close to full-time hours (I'll be in the 20-30 hours/week range; full-time is 35-40). Maybe some weeks will be busier. Anyway, since it's a clothing store that's not always busy, they have "on call" shifts where I'm scheduled to work but have to call in first to see if they need me. If they don't, then I won't work. It was the same at Cotton Ginny.
My favourite thing about this job? I CAN WEAR JEANS! \o/
I'm gonna chalk it up to a win, even though I haven't heard from the full-time jobs that I really want. I'll keep looking for full-time but for now, this will have to do.
I'm so glad I'm employed again.
(Maybe I'll finally be able to pay my own rent?)
ETA: Also got another call - going for an interview tomorrow for Sunrise Records. I would love to work there. Go me!
