I just got a call back from Coles - you know, the bookstore interview I had YESTERDAY and said it would be two weeks before I heard from them? - and apparently they loved me. I mean, I knew I rocked the interview but apparently I'm AWESOME!
So, I got the job there, part-time, but the HUGE downside is that I don't start until MAY 20TH. As in, THREE WEEKS FROM NOW. That really, really blows. I mean, I'm super excited and glad I got the job but that is a LONG TIME to wait until I start. Apparently they do their schedule waaay in advance, so that's why I won't be starting there 'til then.
I'm still hoping to hear from another store for another part-time position - maybe one that starts in the next week? But IDK. Still no other call backs.
I called my old work, Scholar's Choice and told them that if there are any shifts that they need picked up in the next three weeks to call me. However, my manager wasn't there and I had to talk to my assistant manager. Not the best case, especially since I kinda started crying on the phone because I'm a huge loser who can't control her emotions. I basically told them that the full-time position I had been hoping to get fell through, and that if needed, I can make the commute and come in and work. She said that there aren't any shifts open right now, but we'll see, I guess.
Anyway, so, a bit of positive news! Yay bookstore! But I'm still a bit stuck because it doesn't start for three weeks, and also, I can't survive paying my bills off that one part-time job, so I need another (part-time or full-time) to come my way soon. Or for the bookstore to decide that they need a full-time person instead of just a part-time one.
Blah. But yay!
