Let's see.

I have a number of things that I wanted to update about, so I'll go old school and do it numbered list.

1) Classes are over! I'm pretty excited. Except that I still have two essays to write - one is a take home exam that's due tomorrow (so I'm writing it today) and the other is an actual essay that's due on Wednesday (so I'm writing it tomorrow). I'm hoping to get them both done on time. Well, the take home HAS to be done by tomorrow, but I have faith in myself that I can whip something up in the next twelve hours. It only has to be 1500 words, anyways. Once those essays are done, I'm pretty much free of school for a while, except for my two exams next week, which shouldn't be too hard.

2) I got new bedding yesterday! Well, I got a new comforter and sheets. I was having a really hard time deciding what colour to paint my new room, and this comforter is really awesome and brought in all of my favourite bright colours. So I'm painting my room blue, to match the blue on the comforter, and then all of my accessories will be pink, lime green and orange. I also bought orange sheets yesterday. My room is going to be so bright and funky! I'm excited.

3) WE MOVE IN 13 DAYS! Man, I can't believe it's so soon! I haven't even STARTED packing up my room yet, because I want to wait until my essays are done. I'm doing a HUGE prune of all the stuff I own; I'm going to donate a TON of clothes that I never wear to Goodwill, along with all of the little toys and trinkets that aren't sentimental. I want my new room to have much less clutter. And I seriously have way too many clothes, especially with all the ones I don't wear and have kept in case "I'll eventually wear it".

4) Painting begins on the new apartment on Wednesday. freakstop is being a dear and her mom is coming to help us, and they're going to buy all the paint and start on it. So we'll do some painting on Wednesday, and then on Friday (Good Friday!) will be the majority of painting. I'm excited to actually see paint on the walls; it will make the apartment feel so much more inviting! Right now it's just empty and white.

5) I got my bursary from the school ($1,580) last week and it's almost gone. In my defense, I owed a total of $1,000 to various things (rent, Visa, people) so I'm trying to make that last $500 stretch as much as I can since I AM DONE MY JOB ON THE 14TH. I am absolutely TERRIFIED to not have a job in a few short days. I've been working pretty steadily since I was 15, so the fact that I might not have a job for two or three weeks is terrifying. I really hope I hear back from the places I've applied to soon. I'm really hoping to get in at Rogers with laurav2, but if I do, my job wouldn't start until May 4th, so I'm looking at a solid three weeks without employment. I'm going to be stinge-o-rama during that time, and I'll probably have to borrow from my parents again. Cross your fingers that I get a full-time job soon!

6) laurav2 has the plague. Well, she has a throat infection AND bronchitis (as diagnosed by the doctor this morning) AND she's contagious, so I'm trying my absolute best not to fall victim to this grossness. Especially right now when I'm busy and have a lot of stuff to do between school and moving. I just started taking a new anti-cold medication, which has a lot of echinacea(sp?) in it, which I've heard helps to boost the immune system. I'm also going to drink a crapload of orange juice and try to beat it before it pulls me down. Poor Laura is on two kinds of medication, so I hope she gets better soon.

If you read all of that, then you really must like me. So, thanks! I like you, too. :)
