So in class today, I was thinking. Not about some stupid Victorian book, but about the wardrobe of Sam Winchester. It's changed so much. He used to wear t-shirts with greyhounds on them, and hoodies, as well as the awesome plaid. But lately, it's been all about the plaid! Not that I'm complaining, no, (Not complaining about that gray t-shirt he was wearing last night either), but I wonder why. At first I thought, maybe the wardrobe dept/whoever makes these decisions watch us online, and see us squeeing about the plaid and say to themselves, you know what? Our fans are awesome. Lets give them a present. But maybe/probably it's deeper than that? Sam Winchester is not the adorable little college boy from the pilot (watching the pilot before the latest episode: best idea we've had in a while re:SPN), but someone much darker, and even more a little Dean-ish. Dean rarely wears t-shirts. Well, those long-sleeved ones, which I'm a fan of, or the black ones he wears under all his layers, but usually we see him in a collared shirt, plaid/army-green, usually. And now Sam is usually also in a plaid collared shirt.
Or I'm just overthinking this.
By the way, as I'm tying this I'm keeping the Sam/Ruby gif in view. Even though I can't ship them. At all. And I was a little grossed out by that scene. The only reason I watch it is for Sam's shoulders. Sammy Winchester has grown up and I approve.
