I am so severely depressed.
This is why:
My parents, brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, family friends and pretty much everybody I know at home save for my grandparents and my cousin Jenn and her husband are leaving for a caribbean cruise on Wednesday night.
And I'm not going.
I was invited. But as I'm an incredibly poor student, I couldn't afford to go. And even if I could have paid, I couldn't have gone anyway, as I have an exam on Thursday, and we all know how exams really can't be missed.
You'd think that not being able to go would be the biggest kick in the pants, right?
Nope.
They'll all be gone OVER MY BIRTHDAY, so my ENTIRE FAMILY will not be around AT ALL when I turn 23.
BUT WAIT.
Here's the even WORSE part then my entire family vacationing in the sunny caribbean and having amazing experiences on my birthday while I write exams and pack my entire life up into boxes:
The cruise departs from New York City, and they're spending the day there before they leave, and one of our family friends somehow scored 10 tickets to David Letterman that night. The guest star? Tina Fey.
SO, YEAH. I'M DEPRESSED BECAUSE MY FAMILY GETS TO PROBABLY MEET TINA FEY AND THEN GO CRUISING IN THE CARIBBEAN WHILE I FUCKING WRITE EXAMS AND CRY BECAUSE I'M SO LEFT OUT.
I can't wait for the next family get-together when all everyone talks about is the cruise and how much fun it was. /sarcasm
