Okay, so!

My last entry was really sad, and I'm still feeling it, but I don't want to dwell on it. It will be better for me and it will be better for my nana.

My weekend has, for the most part, been pretty good. Friday night was spent at Steph's, drinking and just hanging out, which was great.

Yesterday I went to Toronto to see Edward Scissorhands at the Hummingbird Centre. It was a really neat show. It was the first wordless performance I've seen, and I was impressed. The music was beautiful (they used a lot of Danny Elfman's score from the movie, which I love) and the dancing was fantastic. So were the costumes. After the show, we went for dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory and it was really, really yummy.

Then last night I saw Grindhouse, which I fucking loved. My main reason is the casting (Rose McGowan, Naveen Andrews, Vanessa Ferlito, Rosario Dawson, Tracie Thoms!), but it was also super-enjoyable otherwise. A gore fest and hilarious. Highly recommended.

Today is Easter (btw, Happy Easter everyone!) so my parents bought me Happy Feet on DVD and some chocolate. I'm pretty excited about it. We went to my nana and papa's for dinner (again, not going to dwell on it) and it was good.

We watched the Islanders/Devils game because the Leafs were riding on it to be in the playoffs. The game was INSANE. I cannot, CANNOT believe that the Devils scored with .09 seconds left! Wow. My dad was sweating bullets (he's a Leafs fanatic). Sadly, the Leafs aren't going to the playoffs, so he's mopey, but there's always next year.

WOW. Did I just talk about hockey? That's random. Oh well. I like hockey. It's exciting and I grew up spending pretty much every single weekend in a hockey arena so I'm bound to enjoy it somewhat.

WELL this post is random, but that's what's going on with me. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself tonight. We'll have to see. Maybe I'll watch a movie of some kind.

Hope everyone's having a nice Easter!

OH!! P.S. I'm going to see The Rocky Horror Show in Toronto on May 4th!! I'm excited. I saw it 2 years ago but I can't wait to see it again! And it's on the day after my birthday so Katharine is going to buy me dinner!!

family, life, random
