Best. Dream. Ever! Plus some other awesome ones...

I went home to find the place flooded. In the front yard was a particularly lake-ish puddle, in which floundered a....beluga whale! Weird, right? I was terrified! I ran straight to the garage faster than it could shuffle (because naturally the whale left the water and followed the intruder...) and locked the door. My two friends and I were freaking out as the monster began banging on the door and singing that whaley tune. Apparently my dream-friends are more courageous than I am, though, because they decided to open the door and see if the whale was friendly. It was! When I saw that there was no danger, I went to pet the thing. It had begun to dry out and I realized it was basically just a huge dog! As it crawled into my lap (yes, the whale) I pondered the surprisingly small differences between a whale and a dog and came to the conclusion that whales are basically dogs but without fur and deeper chests. I guess I forgot whales don't have legs or something, which is easy considering the one purring on my lap did.

Last week I had a dream that I was dating an ex again and in the midst of making out he decided to do some "spring cleaning" "down there" for me, and as we all (he, his assistant (??) and I) stared with rapt attention at the vacuum he was using, he said, "About half way through we should start seeing the good stuff."

Or how about the time I dreamed about the boy who was color-blind? His mother bought him a glass box (think translucent TARDIS) that allowed him to see in color as long as he was inside it. He lived his entire life in it until one day a man knocked on his cubicle and said something that the boy knew only he himself could ever have known. He realized this man was himself from the future! The man told the boy that there were many other copies of himself wandering about and that they would have to go outside of the cubicle to correct all the things that had lead to him being cloned in the future. And so, very much like Big Fish or Bubble Boy, he went on an adventure. With himself.

Sometimes I love my brain.
