Just Something I found

Hey y'all! I haven't finished chapter 7 yet, but I'm well on my way to. Cheers! I won't get much writing done tomorrow because I have a job interview at a library (ha!). I finally quit my job at the shoe store (finally!) only to apply for another job. But the library is like Disneyworld to me, and I won't have deal with annoyed customers or ungrateful managers anymore! Hopefully I'll nail the interview tomorrow, so wish me luck!

Anyways the reason i'm posting is, the other day I was flipping through my notes on Unpathed Waters, Undreamed Shores, when I came across an early draft of Chapter 5. In this draft, the opening scene isn't with Lily in library trying to avoid James. Instead, Lily's reflecting on her relationship with her parents, not James. Originally this is when I was going to explain the existing tension between Lily and her parents, but decided against it, seeing as how it didn't really fit into the plot just yet. It would have been too much to introduce the problems with Lily and her family, when her arguement with James hadn't been resolved yet. So, I axed it and started over with the chapter you all have read before!

I brought this up because a reviewer brought up the fact that Lily and James parents seem a little over the top, which is true unfortunately. For now, Lily and James' parents are more like background characters so they don't really have much depth to them. Later in the story, I will treat the parents more like individuals, and give them more of a background story. Their background stories intertwine with development of both Lily and James, so the parents are going to have to remain cliched until James and Lily grow up a bit. So just bare with me please!

Anyways, I decided to post the original beginning of chapter 5 because it goes a little into Lily's life. It's all hand-written (sorry), and it doesn't give that much away (again sorry!) But at least there's an interesting doodle on the last page! haha Enjoy (or try to lol).
