on sunday, we finally ventured out together to the opposite side of Toyooka. compared to the frequently visited side of Toyooka, this part of the city is quieter, cleaner, wider, and definitely more ...european-ish. although their quaint little european shops [italian bakery, german restaurant, bagel shop, coffee houses] dotted the streets sparingly, i couldn't helped but enjoyed my walk on that bright sunny day. we stopped at hyakkuen, a small shop offering an assortment of fruit drinks, shakes, and desserts. i decided on a yummy strawberry milk shake while mike opted for a banana choco milk shake. we shared a plate of 6 mini fruit truffles (cakes). it was too pretty to consume at first, but once i tasted my first bite, i ended up with 4 in my stomach, despite my initial assumption that i could only eat two. oh my stomach lied!

last picture is a japanese fountain that i took at Yoka's Town Center. if you stand really close to it and listen, you can hear a strange humming sound vibrating along with the sound of water dripping in some hallowed tunnel. thought i'd just share!

i'd love to go back and eat some more. it was just way tooo scrumptious to eat only once! and it's almost the weekend! midterm is in session which means i have some free time on my hands to study and read. hooray for me!
