I doubt you'd be able to help... so many people have tried. I think it's just something that my brain doesn't see the point in doing, so it doesn't bother trying... (this is why I should be taking psychology.) But thanks all the same.
That's what I meant. And you don't HAVE to get a merit, that's just what the school's say. It just means that if you DO get a merit then they let you through no probs. Otherwise you have to talk to the big scary maths person and they say "well you're a good student so that's ok" or something.
They don't usually MAKE them harder (they're often just last year's papers), but once you've sat the mock you kinda know how it's going to be so you're kinda mentally prepared a bit better.
People say they are, but I don't find them any easier. But don't go by me, because every year I do worse in my proper ones than in my mocks, but most people improve. You should improve, I'm just unfortunate in my marking luck.

I'm sure you'll do ok at algebra, most people seem to find the actual paper easier than they think they will.

Is it true that they normally make the mocks harder than the real exams just to scare people? Because that's really mean...
