passionate artist goes to court... again.

well, last monday i and a few others managed to get arrested for shoplifting from superstore. they held me the longest and i had to put up 200$ bail to get released to insure that i showed up at my court date. well, i appeared in court this morning with the wonderful chris g at my side (its nice to have him come support me at my court dates for a change instead of me always going to his. hehe.) and i saw the judge who was sooo nice. basically after all thats said and done i got an absolute discharge which is the best thing that could have happened. he said he thought i learned my lesson and that i wasnt a threat to do it again. so this charge isnt going on my record. the funny thing is is that my previous theft under charge from january didnt show up on my record for some strange and wonderful reason, so its basically because of some sheer dumb luck that they didnt throw the book at me. how nice. is this a sign that i should end my carrer of crime? hard to say. probably not. basically seems to me that i still get one more shot at getting caught until i start going to jail for it. from all my experiences in the calgary court system and now having gone through it all in winnipeg i definately think that the calgary courts are much more harder on people and from my limited experience i feel like judge(s) have a bit more sympathy for 'passonate artists having trouble making ends meet'. tho it probably helped not having my somewhat long arrest record in front of the judge like in calgary. i even got my bail back today and didnt have to wait the millions of years that often comes with retreiving bail.

all in all today has been good so far and its hardly past noon. chris woke me up around 830 with breakfast in bed after my short 4 hour sleep cause i was up all night at the hospital with kell. she took me in to get Ventalin because of my crazy coughing and wheezing and all that thats been going on since i arrived here. the ventalin is nice and was kina like smoking a really fabulous cigarette thats good for you and now i can take deep breaths and im not coughing so bad. props to kell for making me go and being my nurse and staying up all night with me at her work no less. sheesh.

kellees grad is tommorrow and then i leave here super early on thrusday morning to the promised land of toronto.
