Again we stride,

After reading Joels posts, I realize that I too have spent far too little time here.

I've been up to no good lately I guess. I'm in this EMT program at Moorpark, but have been having a weird problem in it. When someone joins the program, they have to get a certain board of immunizations in order to take the field. My clinic that I had been going to for most of my life closed 5 years ago and didnt file my immunizations with the county health department, so I tried finding them at the schools I had gone to, but they didnt have them either. So, long story a little bit shorter, I had to get ALL of my immunities over again. On a side note, there are two teachers of the EMT program at moorpark, a SWAT team paramedic whos been 20 years in the field, teaches at UCLA, and is totally chill back and cool, and another teacher who barely has been in the field and went straight to a teaching position and is an ass. Sadly the teacher with almost no time in the field is the head of the program, and the other teacher is just there to help because the college asked.

Because my immunities took too long to get, the ass teacher wants to dock me 5 exams worth of points, stating that "Life isnt fair" about having to get all the shots over again. The other teacher thinks he should just let me be. On straight test scores Im 3rd out of 60 in scores, but if he takes away all those points, that wouldnt even be passing. So, on monday I have to go to the dean (on the cool teachers advise) and argue that my medical records shouldnt be held against me. One student had already done so, so we'll see what happens. I'm optimistic to be honest.

Aside from that, working the field and helping people has been really enlightening. It's somehow reassuring knowing that wherever I am that if one of my friends or someone that happens to be around injures themselves or goes into a medical situation, that I can help them and know what to do. It's something that I think more people should do just for the knowledge.

Along with that I still play some games when I have time (6am to 7 AM) or (2am to 3AM) usually that time goes to Warcraft or Sims 2. As far as reading goes, I finished "Thus Spoke Zarathustra", "Shadow of the Giant", and Marilyn Manson's Autobiography recently(weird book).

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Joel, all my support goes out to you, and if you need anything let me know (or if you want to help wrestle a pig) =)
