My mom: In college, my roommates and I were trying to pinpoint the exact border in New Jersey where a south Jersey accent stopped and a north Jersey accent started. We found out it was the Woodbridge Center in Edison, because half the people pronounced it "Woodbridge Center" and the other half pronounced it "Woodbridge Cen'er."
My stepdad: Well I guess that makes Edison the Mason-Diction line!
