CANADA BABY!!!

Ok so here it goes, as i said im going to do one post per day i was out there other wise it would be the worlds longest post and no one wants that. also ill be able to post a couple of pics to it too with out once again it being too long :)

Day One : London to Calgary

Ultra early morning start at 3.30am, barely had any sleep, maybe 3 hours top. managed to be up dressed and everything sorted and out the door by 5am.

On the journey to the airport were listening to radio 1 when Glee's 'Don't stop believeing' comes on the air, needless to say im way too giddy singing along, i tweeted the dj saying it was awesome and ended up getting a mention on air :) this made me giddier :) sam kinda just ignored me lol. think it was too early for him hehe.

We got to the airport ok, although there was no where to have breakfast outside of the security section so sam had to say goodbye earlier than wanted :( so i got through security and had mcyds breakfast and spent the next 3 hours waiting for my planes gate number to appear.....by this point im killin gmy battery on my phone twittering and facebooking.....no one else is ever awake when you want them to be hey lol.

The gate number is finally announced by 9.10am and im boarded by 10.10am. Now the plane went to take off, how ever there was apparently a technical fault with one of the back thrusters so to cover their backs they stopped to check it out. the captin said it should only take 30 minutes. 2 hours later we took off.

my seat wasnt too bad, id pre- booked it so i had a front one so i had extra leg room, what they didnt mention was that my seat had the door thingy in the way so my right leg didnt get any extra leg room....and thats my bad knee leg which was a pain. but i managed to deal with it and just stretched out at an angle. my neighbours were a lovely couple from calgary who were lovely to talk to, and the staff were friendly enough. The views from the plane were amazing, the air was so clear so i got some amazing photos of iceland and greenland.

Finally got to Calgary airport an hour later than planned, the was naturally a MASSIVE queue at customs that must have been around 45 minutes long, then when i was eventually seen i had the rudest and slowest customs man ever! its like dude i get it, its no the greatest job in the world but ive just been on a plane for what ended up about 10 or so hours, try smiling a bit. He didn't, instead he sent me to immigration.
I waited in this line for another hour or so. luckily there were some lovely people in the line with me to help pass the time. i finally got seen and was there about 2 minutes, the guy was very friendly and nice and said i was fine to go, i asked why i had been sent here, his reply was 'you expect me to answer that?' my natural reply was well yes. he asked how old i was and when i replied 24 he looked shocked and said i lok much younger, and that they have to check when young people travel through on their own. i was like fine can i go.

whilst in the cue i was freaking out about kajmere  not knowing where i was, i tried to text but my phone decided to hate me. when i got out i managed to grab my suit case that a lovely guy from thomas cook and put aside for all those in immigration, and ran out into arrivals insearch for her.  i couldnt see her at first so i asked if i could havea  tanoy announcement/pager for her, as i walked to information to do that i turned around and there she was :) finally my holiday could begin :)
when we got to her jeep (which i miss being in as its so high up and comfy lol) she produced a lovely welcome to canada present bag which had the cutest little things in including a moose crossing sign which i love :)

Any way we headed back to kristy's and and i met her lovely housemate melissa and melissa's aunt, it was soooo hot, apparenlty 31 degrees so i changed into shorts and sandals, thank god i brought them with me. and we sat on her front porch i had some lovley canadian peach cider which was in the mini welcome to canada bag she made for me :)

we popped to her local grocery store, it was kinda weird walking around, at least i kinda recognised some of the brands, although i was complete shocked and grosed out by the idea of maple syrup beans!!! serious wtf!! you canadians are a very very odd bunch lol. anyway we drove back to kristys and made stirfry, i ate my first pepper, i felt so proud of my self :) hehehee.

i got to hold charlie kristys cute hedgehog pet, hes soooo adorable.
we went back on the porch to relax, it was still so warm 25 degrees!!
anyway we had a fairly early night as up at 4am the next day for the stampede parade, that i had been up over 24 hours by this point.

awesomeness, canada trip, immigration sucks, kajmere
