Yesterday I came home to find my dad's van near the garage and a 2004 Ford Taurus SES with my dad's license plate on it. They didn't tell me anything so this was quite the shock.
Pros - We needed a new(er) car. And my dad gets the good car for the first time since my parents have been married. And it's got leather seats. And a six-disc CD player. And a moonroof. And a bunch of other little luxuries.
Cons - I no longer have the bragging rights of driving the best car in the house. My insurance may go up because of this, because I'm with my folks. Don't ask me how they can afford a new car and yet cannot help me pay for school. And that means that the first car I ever drove, the love-hate relationship between the '90 Aerostar, will be ending soon with a nice donation to Mother Waddles and a tax break to my parents. Who will still not use that money to help me pay for college. Cheap bastards.
Soccer tryouts? Eight girls showed up. Apparently he scouted a couple, as well as a couple others showing up last week. Therefore, unless we have a huge influx of girls, I made the team. I don't want to jinx it because I do kinda suck. But I finished the mile in 8:45. It needs to be closer to 8 but I finished and didn't walk so I'm at least proud of that.
I'm kicking ass in my summer classes. My 18th century lit class that sucks a lot, I got a B+ on both my paper and my exam. And in Spitsberg's...A. Holler.
Low point of the day: I broke my big big sunglasses that cost me 4.50 at Forever 21. And coming home to yet another paper I have to write. Yay.
