so little time
Oh, God, it's been over a week since my last update. And my last post was a numbered list, so I can't do that again. LOL. I'll just make a week highlights kind of post, I guess.
Friday. Went out with Thiago. We ran into Márcio and a friend of his, and he whole thing ended up being very simbolic to me. Anyway, we also ran into a couple of girls that are friends with the guys but I had never met and they were really nice, so yay to making new friends.
Saturday. Went to a nice play with a couple of friends and to one of their friend's house afterwards. Nice little cozy night, up to the point that became very very boring and we couldn't leave because it was raining way too much.
Sunday. Rafael got a job opportunity in another city and he moved on Tuesday, so we went out to dinner with him. It was really quick, but it was still very nice.
Monday. Rafael's work colleages threw him a party and invited us, so we had a second goodbye party for him. :) It's not like he'll live that far, though. His new town is just a couple of hours away, and he'll be coming back every couple of weeks.
Tuesday. Danilo didn't show up at any of Rafael's go-away parties, so I went over to his work place to find out what's going on. Apparently he's mad at Rafael. Oh well. Spent a little time with him, since it had been weeks since I last saw him anyway. It was nice. I got him to agree to a movie with us, so everybody was happy. Afterwards I went to Thiago's, 'cause I sort of had been meaning to talk to him since Saturday, and he lives really close to Danilo's work.
Wednesday. Last theraphy session ever well, at least for a really long time. I enjoyed it, but I really don't see myself going back anytime soon. She did give me her home number and email adress, and she told me to keep in touch during my trip. She's really nice. Went to the movies twice. LOL. I watched Pro dia nascer feliz with Thiago and Trust the man with Thaise, Érika and Danilo.
Thursday. Thiago called me sick and I took him to the hospital. It's nothing to get worked up about, it seems to be just a very strong flu, but that's the second time in 2 months and that can't be good either.
Friday. My building got a new internet connection (it's by radio now) and the freaking thing sucks so bad! Torrents don't work seem to work so far, so I have no idea how I'm gonna be able to download my shows. I guess that won't be such a big problem right now, considering almost everything is on hiatus, and, well, there is the small matter of my Europe trip in less than a month, but I still want to at least watch Studio 60's last episode. I have managed to find a megaupload link, but the site doesn't really like me, so thats a huge problem. :/
Saturday. Went to my one and only São João party of the year. A group of friends that aren't really my friends organized it and invited me over, so I showed up. I couldn't help but think it's probably the last time I'll ever see them.
Sunday. Today! Finally! Grandma Mary and cousin Jorge came over for lunch. Jorge is thinking about joining me during my two weeks in England and possibily a few weeks in Spain as well. That would be nice. I spent most of the day comparing digital cameras, but I haven't really got a conclusion yet. I mean, I thought I was gonna get something around 7MP, but all online guides say I don't really need more than 5MP. I also thought it would be cheaper to wait to buy it in Europe, but comparing online prices, it seems like it doesn't make that much of a difference anyway, considering Brazilian stores throw in all kinds of extras (memory cards, bateries, recharges, etc) on the deal, and if I buy it now I would be able to play with it before I leave and, more importantly, I would be able to declare it on the imigration, so I wouldn't have to take it out of my quota. *head hurts*
