i don't know if the queasiness in my tum is from the tempura i had last night. or the fact that i have to call my upcoming employer.
roxanne, being the best, took a detour through the hot, sweaty san fernando valley last night. she had to show me the Ritchie Valens Recreation Center. it was pretty awesome, but a little disappointing that there was no lifesize statue of Ritchie himself.
LA is so nuts. in one moment, you can be in the affluent suburbs of beverly hills, spending four dollars on a latte at starbucks. a jump on the freeway, and you're in east LA. spending less than four bucks on a shamrock shake at mickey d's.
