Character's Canon Abilities:
Naruto, as this particular fictional interpretation of a ninja, uses chakra to use techniques and enhance his body and abilities. Chakra is a natural energy created within the body that ninja learn how to use to various effects. Naruto is most adept at ninjutsu (special techniques using chakra) and taijutsu (hand-to-hand combat) and weakest at genjutsu (illusions). Because of the demon fox sealed within him, Naruto has access to its near infinite reserves of chakra, a surplus of chakra so great that it allows him to perform ninja abilities that most people would ordinarily be incapable of using. Though portions of the fox's chakra constantly mix with Naruto's own, Naruto can forcibly draw upon its reserves by either submitting to rage or by directly asking the fox for a donation of its strength. Once the demon fox chakra releases, a fox-shaped shroud envelops Naruto, with the number of tails, ranging from one to nine, indicating its current state of release. While each tail drastically increases his fighting strength, Naruto begins to lose his rationality as more tails appear, completely losing himself once the fourth tail appears. Because the demon fox's power can quickly become a danger to those he cares for, Naruto attempts to limit his reliance on and usage of the power.
Henge: This jutsu allows the user to transform either themselves or another object into the appearance of another person, animal, or object.
Oiroke no Jutsu: Naruto's special technique of Henge that he uses to great effect against men by turning into a very buxom blond NAKED adult woman. He expands on this using the Tajuu Kage Bunshin (described below) to create multiples of this woman self to make the Harem no Jutsu, which has a 99% success rate of knocking out his opponent through blood loss to the brain 8)
Kage Bunshin: Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original. This is Naruto's specialty and most used technique, and thanks to his infinite chakra reserves with the Kyuubi, he can expand on it with the Tajuu Kage Bunshin, which basically creates at least several hundred of these clones, a feat almost no other person could attempt.
Rasengan: This and its various subsets and variations are Naruto's greatest technique. It's extremely difficult and Naruto is the first of the few people to actually learn it who actually mastered it. It's a high concentration of damaging chakra concentrated in a small area that doesn't require time-consuming hand seals.
Senjutsu: Or Sage Mode. After Jiraiya's death at the hands of Pain, Naruto began training with Fukasaku in Myōbokuzan to learn senjutsu and how to enter Sage Mode. In order to achieve this, Naruto had to learn to sense and control the natural energy around him. Once mastered, Naruto was able to perfect the Rasenshuriken, so that he could throw it, and learn Frog Kata, the taijutsu style that uses the natural energy around the user to enhance the range and the potency of their attacks.
Weapons: Naruto only has one flick knife with him from his time in NeoGenesis. It has no emotional importance and is too small to do any significant damage, but enough to get away in a tight situation.

Relationship: yeah! I don't really play for ships and Naruto's so stupid about relationships to begin with, but if something starts developing I'd love to pursue it! let's talk long and often about how things would play out (because he's such a complicated derpy derp)! and while Naruto is pretty straight, ultimately gender won't matter if there's something genuine going on. (ha, finally the straight answer everyone was looking for!)

Now, about the KYUUBI. It CAN be sensed or detected by others, but is not easy. If your character has the ability to sense the Kyuubi, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I want the IC knowledge to be kept to a minimum until it can be used effectively for plot purposes, but obviously I'm not going to ask you to be completely OOC for my wishes :> But I do want to keep track, if that's okay! \o
For reference: in canon, the Kyuubi isn't easily detected. For one, Naruto's own overwhelmingly bright and warm energy tends to cover it up. For another, usually characters who didn't outright have the knowledge of him being the jinchuuriki had to have some sort of ability that detected the energy anomaly in his body, or to detect the huge and malevolent chakra signature underneath Naruto's. If it helps, a character whose specialty was sensing chakra, didn't realize there was something wrong until physically close to Naruto, and again...his own bright and warm chakra was too ~*dazzling*~ for her to pick it up at first. If you character CAN sense the Kyuubi, it will be overwhelming in its power, size, and malevolence.
