I've examined the array my son activated the other day and have found nothing special about it, aside from the fact that it's covered in blood. Attempts to duplicate the effects by re-drawing the circle on a new sheet of paper have failed; the original no longer functions, either.

Perhaps it was a one-time fluke...?
