Can I sleep here?
Let the smoke surround you and I.
The music seeps into the floorboards underneath us, moves our bones and our hearts.
Where is your heart?
You say I hold it in my hands, you say I hold it with mine.
The sunshine warms the cold you threw over me,
you hold me close right next to the salt water coast.
You hold me close, despite my protests.
Just stop this shaking, stop the world from spinning.
I just want to sleep here, where it feels still.
Through the window I see the trees and the sunshine.
We stand here, I stand here with you watching my every move.
I could get rid of you, let it all die with tears and flames.
I could have, I so could have done it.
I would have killed you and have let you to fall and die in the woods, in the dead leaves.
But I pulled you back to me, held you to me, put your hands where I wanted your hands and let you inside me.
We made it, we made it all in an hour.
I'll fix this, I'll fix it all.
Dont cry, my baby boy, I'll hold you close and tell you its alright.
I know this is just the first, and I know it wont be the last.
