Typically when a girl finds out that she has a child there are steps involved. I mean, I had always expected things like an actual marriage (either before it or because of it), a skipped you-know-what and a "surprise you're pregnant!" followed by nine months of waiting. I'd always expected to be at least thirty and a doctoral candidate before any of these things happened.

Apparently I'm not going to get to be that lucky. Either here or in the reality in which this here gets to occur. Not unless I work really fast.

Running through a quick list of places where I could find Calvin, I instantly remember something about boats and water and all of that, and take off running towards the beach. If I'm lucky I won't have to go all the way there before I find him. Dying before I get to be like "oh hey, by the way, you got me pregnant you bastard" would really suck.
