One of Midii's powers includes the ability to sense other people's emotions, sometimes so strongly that it becomes difficult for her to discern them from her own. This also gives her knowledge of whether or not somebody is telling the truth (or believes they are), based on their reactions. Basically, an extension of her honed observation skills from the Episode Zero chapter.
