Whether or not the secret was, in fact, made by a P/R fan is not the point. The point is the entire PR fanbases modus operandi of LOLZ LOOK HOW ~RABID~ WE ARE attitude? Has pretty much made us a laughing stock of the fandom. Oh, but wait, I already anticipate your answer: We don't care if they like us, as long as we have each other!
Ok, guys, while that's Super Kumbaya Fun-Time, this behavior is still horrible, uncalled for, and frankly, off-putting. DIAF? Are you kidding me? You guys: THIS IS A SHOW. Why can't we all just giggle and squee together? Why do we have to persistently flaunt our shit in the other ships faces?
Yes. Some other ships do it too, but the PR fanbase seems to take wanking to a whole new extreme. There is a very big difference between sticking together and being the persecuted, little-ship-that-could, and forming a motley crue together behind the bushes to throw rocks at the passersby.
Kiddies. We ship PR because we love those two manipulative, impulsive-lying crazies. They're a fantastic ship with a lot of chemistry and a lot of potential, and if it happens: GREAT. If it doesn't: That's what fandom is for, yo. This is not something we should be GOING TO WAR OVER. Fandom is supposed to be something that we all gather together and squee about and over-analyze.
Death threats = NEVER OK. EVER. Like, I shouldn't even have to say that, but there it is. Some of these comments and pictures and behavior isn't just baffling to the rest of us, it's downright wrong. People, you don't behave that way in polite society, why one Earth would you behave that way otherwise?
You're NOT convincing people to convert any more than an FR can convince you to convert--so what's with all the shenanigans? Really?
People make sweeping generalizations of, "Oh, those CRAZY PR-shippers" and then people get offended--and rightfully so. We're being categorized and hated because there are a finite few shippers out there who are taking Shipping Wars as literal as possible. There are a handful of PR shippers who are joking (god, I hope) about killing members of the other ships, and making statements such as, "FR fans go die in a fire" and then the rest of us? The rest of us who play nicely and multi-ship and want the world to be friends?
We're left holding your bag. And I'm sick of it.
Seriously, you guys. I'd like to be able to claim to be a PR fan without all the ~stigma~ that goes with it. I know I'm not the only fan who feels this way, and those of us who do have tried to ignore it. Nobody has said anything about this behavior, and I'm sort of tired of not saying it.
